Mauli Dave ,  the youngster from Texas, USA became the darling of the nation when she sang the “Mayya Mayya” song from the movie Guru in the first episode of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2007.

Mauli received appreciation from all the mentors who called her a complete singer as well as a performer. Bappi Da and Ismail Ji especially went on stage to congratulate her which made her almost choke with emotion. Mauli was immediately taken in the Josh gharana whose mentor is Bappi Da. Although she hails from Houston, USA this 19 year old claims to be an Indian at heart. She looks up to A.R Rehman for inspiration and hopes to sing for the musical genius one day.
